About the Role
CovenantIQ is building the infrastructure that powers modern middle-market lending — clean data, automated compliance, and a shared platform for lenders and borrowers alike. As an Associate Product Manager, you'll collaborate with senior leadership to define and deliver product features across the complete lifecycle, from technical implementation to business strategy.
Day-to-day work spans technical problem-solving and direct customer engagement. You'll work across engineering, design, and QA to ship features that solve real operational problems for credit analysts, portfolio managers, and commercial lending teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to define and deliver product features from inception to launch
- Create clear product requirements documentation and liaise with engineering, design, and QA teams
- Conduct customer interviews and synthesize feedback into actionable product decisions
- Collaborate with Customer Success on issue resolution and implementation support
- Test solutions — including APIs — to verify requirements are met before release
- Contribute to projects involving AI, data processing, and modern financial technologies
- Develop deep knowledge of financial concepts including financial statements and credit covenants
- Work with tools including Jira, Confluence, Aha, Figma, Postman, and AWS
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in product management or a related role
- Basic accounting or finance knowledge — you can read a P&L and understand what a covenant is
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Technical comfort with Python, APIs, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong organizational and communication skills — you can write clearly and manage competing priorities
- Curiosity and willingness to learn fast in an early-stage startup environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $95,000–$125,000
