Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Backend Developer with up to 4 years of experience to build scalable and efficient web services for our analytics platform. This role involves working on-site in the Redmond/Seattle area alongside a close-knit team of subject matter experts, with some remote team collaboration. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Implement and optimize APIs to support seamless data exchange between systems.
• Collaborate with front-end developers and domain experts to align backend architecture with business needs.
• Utilize Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to model complex systems when applicable.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
• Debug and resolve technical issues, adhering to best practices in coding and testing.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience developing backend systems with Java.
• Proficiency in building web services using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Familiarity with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Experience in collaborative, small-team environments.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with both on-site and remote team members.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Redmond/Seattle, WA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of banking or financial analytics is a plus.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
